This is a question I get all the time when I tell people that I am a mobile notary & mortgage notary signing agent. I am still amazed how many mortgage brokers and even title companies do not know what I do. The last few mobile loan signings I performed this month. The borrowers seemed to be very surprised that I had asked them to sign my notary registry log as well as asking them for their thumb print. Apparently not many notaries are taking this extra security measure to protect themselfs and the signings.
